There are many types of chemical compounds that are used in the Oil refinery industry. These chemicals are used to remove impurities such as water and tar from crude oil. We have found that the chemical that is used the most in this industry is Naphtha that is extracted from crude oil after it gets treated by other chemical compounds like kerosene and butane. There are different processes that can extract the Naphtha. These processes include steam distillation, vacuum distillation and extraction of vapors from naphtha wax with solvents
